michele rauer, P.T.A
Director
Michele graduated from Hofstra University upon achieving a B.A. in Business Administration. Following a ten-year sales career, when she received certification as a personal trainer and built a strong clientele, Michele was motivated to pursue her passion for health and wellness. Michele gained employment at Complete Rehab & Sport upon her graduation from Suffolk County Community College's Physical Therapy Assistant program, where she has rapidly ascended to her supervisory role. Despite the demands placed upon her by family and career, Michele remains committed to a healthy lifestyle by staying active and training consistently, preparing well for completion of her first marathon in 2018. In 2022 Michele became the owner of Complete Rehab & Sport and will build on the legacy and continue to provide the compassionate care the community expects and deserves.
Christopher R. Schwenker, P.T.
Supervision Therapist
Founder and Clinical Supervisor of Complete Rehab & Sport, graduated from Wm. Floyd High School as Valedictorian and honored as a News12 Scholar-Athlete. After receiving a full academic scholarship to Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts as a Justice Brandeis Scholar, Chris studied towards a degree in Biology while playing soccer for the Division 3 Judges. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts. Christopher graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from The School of Health Technology and Management at SUNY-Stony Brook, achieving the McTernan Honor Award with a 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude honors. When not devoted to his family and practice, Christopher competes as an amateur cyclist for the DIRT Zwift Team.
In 2022 Chris took a step back from the practice and proudly handed the keys to Michele, but supervises and supports on an ongoing basis. Chris created a fitness and cycling blog to help give back to his bike for all the incredible experiences it has given him and raise awareness for his cycling-related 501(c)3 charity. He will be riding his bike across the country in the Summer of 2022 to further the cause.
kristin schwenker, RN
Office Manager
Graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in Nursing and practiced in Pediatrics before starting a family. Kristin assumed the role of Office Manager out of necessity and has flourished in the position. There is no insurance question she can’t handle, with a specific proficiency in Worker’s Comp and No-Fault. She completed her 1st half marathon in 2018. Kristin remains in the support role and looks forward to the next phase of her life.
christine bottari, CFT
PT Aide Supervisor
Graduated from SUNY Oswego with a BA in Psychology. After spending more than ten years as a client liaison in the computer industry, she needed a change. To make time for her family and seek a more fulfilling profession, she began as a PT aide at Complete Rehab & Sport in 2005 and is an ISSA CFT certified personal trainer. Christine strongly believes that movement and exercise are the keys to wellness as we age. She enjoys running, having completed one full and several half marathons, yoga, and spending active time with her family. Christine is an asset to the clinic and will be expanding her role as an integral member of Michele's team.
